I'm kind of the same. It's important to realize that high IQ doesn't really correlate with "success". I'm intelligent enough to have secured an easy job that pays well so I can basically surf the internet at home most days and get paid 6 figs. I don't have much ambition beyond that level. A midwit with good social skills and ambition can achieve much more of a career. Pattern recognition is probably the most IQ centric ability that I care about.

It does, just not the way you might think.

High IQ people can achieve their goals.

They are also smart enough to realize that money, gold jewelry, big house, etc... is not worth pursuing.

IQ is not a measure of expected success. It's simply a measure of how easily you learn, and the potential complexity of tasks you can manage.
