Muslims look at the West and see "liberalized" women, many of whom can divorce-rape, whore around, are highly hedonistic, openly feminist, anti-male, intentionally ugly, are bad at being house wives, are unfaithful, can abort, have government power on their side, support all sorts of degeneracy like faggotry and nigger importation, etc.
So they seek to control women. It's a little retarded and goes way overboard, but it has good reasons. If women are given power over men, and if they use it, they become a negative force for society. Exceptions exist, but in most cases it applies.
It's not a fear, it's an aversion to letting your society degrade as the West's is.
