i ordered something online a few weeks ago and when the delivery person showed up he knocked for like 2 seconds and then left with the pakage straight away without giving any time to even get to the door. My dad got there just in time and stopped him . I asked him what the race of the delivery boy was since i thought it would be strange for a White guy to be so uncourteous and rude to not even be able to was just a few seconds more and sure enough it turned out to be an indian delivery boy.

Yeah but using a "delivery point" or whatever it's called in the US is easier for everyone. Here in Germany we have a bunch of those around the city and you can access them 24/7. You don't have to worry about the delivery, and they don't have to worry about people not being home. The ones we have can be opened with phone (even offline) and can also be used to print labels and send parcels.

They probably don't have these in small towns though. Also gotta watch the temperatures, if it tends to get very hot or cold it's probably better to pick it up the same day.

Best we have is you can rent a Post Office box but they usually are only open 9AM-4PM so you have to make a special trip on Saturday to pick up your package and wait in line for a clerk. Also, it isn't free and you have to pay a yearly lease for it.

Yeah that just sucks lol. Don't you have parcel shops, like kiosks that mainly do other business, but can accept packages?
