I took a college COBOL course (yeah, mock me, fine) in early 90s because it fit in my schedule. It was me and two other Whites with the rest pajeets.
The pajeets waited for us Whites to discard our semi-complete computer printouts in the trash. They would almost fight each other over our discarded printouts.
I met with the other two Whites and discussed this with them. We agreed to go elsewhere on the campus to discard our printouts.
I think I read somewhere that that language was the most popular language out of all of the ones the dinosaurs invented.

Where, if I can ask? On the northernish east coast, I remember the late 90s as almost entirely White with token minorities. Nice memories, to be honest.
