At the end of the day, Protestantism was funded by wealthy Germans to scheme their way out of paying taxes to Rome. That's it. They hated paying taxes to Rome and they hated that the Pope could veto wars, but there was no way they could convince even half of Europe to quit Christianity. So their solution was to make a "proprietary" Christianity, localized to every population, so that nobles in every kingdom could manipulate it (like Anglicanism) to serve their political needs *without* remitting taxes to Rome.

That's it. That's the foundation of Protestantism. Yeah, Luther and Calvin had their intellectual gripes, but it was completely irrelevant to the godless nobles who sponsored them and only cared about keeping their gold and making war with their neighbors to take theirs.

That's the cold, callus, uncomfortable truth about Protestantism. It's a front by wealthy nobles to skip on their taxes.

I bet a lot of those wealthy nobles were (((nobles))). Luther was actually a massive philo-semite in his earlier years, his translations were based on the (((masoretic))) texts that have been curated by the Talmudist Rabbis for the past 1400 years to purge it of all references to Christ being the messiah (the result of course is that they now make no sense in many places and are full of irregularities). Luther is also on board for having wanted to remove many of the books critical of the jews, or exposing the Edomite infiltration that occured after the Maccabees made the mistake of not vetting their Edomite converts. I believe he realize later in life that he was played and attempted to expose the jews who had duped him, but he was too arrogant and busy beefing with the Pope to fully attempt to chain back up of the beast he had unleashed.

Are you sure? I mean, he did write [On the Jews and Their Lies](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Jews_and_Their_Lies)

> In this treatise, he argues that Jewish synagogues and schools be set on fire, prayer books be destroyed, rabbis forbidden to preach, Jewish homes burned, and property and money confiscated. Luther demanded that no mercy or kindness be given to Jews,[3] that they be afforded no legal protection,[4] and "these poisonous envenomed worms" should be drafted into forced labor or expelled forever.[5] He also seems to advocate murder of Jews, writing "[W]e are at fault in not slaying them".

*Sorry for linking (((Wikipedia.)))

I said he *tried*, but if he was truly successful, he would be remembered as the guy who got the jews kicked out of the west, and not the guy who sold the west to the jews by splitting Christianity into pieces.
