Elon doesn't fight in the trenches. He has people to do that for him. Why would you second guess someone you hired so you wouldn't have to constantly second guess them? Especially if they keep making shareholders happy? The secret is that no big company like that needs as many employees as it does. Most work in office building is to justify keeping the position it's being performed at.
