Because (((Egalitarianism))) is a hell of a drug that exploits herd mentality in humans, and (((Democracy))) in turn exploits egalitarian delusion to make people believe they can simply vote their way out of problems instead of actually getting their hands dirty and solving the problems directly. "Someone else will do it, so I dont have to" is basically what it boils down to.

i think it's because on a subconscious level they still believe (((elections))) and (((Democracy))) are real in other countries even though they're so fake and gay in theirs. Either that or they genuinely believe in their own (S)elections too
