Well also some feel more "based" in accepting neo-paganism in favor of Christianity to avoid exactly these "Jewish" connections of Christianity. (See Tom Roswel)
I mean, its ok to use Jew to describe the ethnoreligious group formed around the Second Temple faith...
Ἰουδαῖος already had an ethnic/theological meaning by the time of the Maccabees and it was almost never used as a tribal or geographic label by the time we get to the Gospels.
Juddah was the kingdom eveeybody fled to when Israel was destroyed and the whole 12 tribes thing is synchronized.
This is why Genesis seems to have 2 conflicting origin stories.... Moses was the southern kingdom myth and Abraham was the northern kingdom myth.
This is also why northern god El and southern thunder spirit Yhwh become one entity in the post bronze age collapse era...
They’re evil by nature if you ask me, I’d argue semites in general aren’t great throughout the past but neither here nor there. In my own beliefs each race has a distinct soul, which is the best explanation in this case (combined with biological determinism ofc)
Yes, but he is guilty of Antiquarianism.... reconstruction of pagan faith as contrarian protest to the failings of modern Christianity isn't going to get you anywhere...
But his scholarship is soooo top notch!
