Thank you.

It's difficult because we never bonded.

Even as an infant, I didn't trust either of them and just tried to keep away from them to stay safe.

I've caught myself many times in my youth and even now, referring to my father or my mother as, "her husband" or "his wife". There is no family bond whatsoever.

That's rough. Unfortunately, its also quite common in our broken western families. As our families have been destroyed for generations now, each subsequent generation flailing about trying to maintain, while we are taught more and more destructive values. Our thought mentors for a long time have been on screens and radios, fantastical imaginings of a selfish and money hungry life somehow leading to happiness and stardom.

This broken bond, even between infand and mother is common. Its normal.

Merry Christmas and good luck with your family now. Honor your parents by learning from them, and not letting their mistakes be made in vain. Using them as a jumping point for your children
