Here's what I gathered FTA and putting 2+2 together about the situation.
Father was left home alone with baby.
Mother was out partying all hours of the night.
(probably) Baby did was babies do and cried all night on and off and father couldn't get a good night's sleep.
Mother comes home early in morning sometime between 4:30 and 6:30.
Father who has had little to no sleep (b/c of crying infant all night) starts arguing with the mother. Things escalate and father takes the infant out to the street in the car seat and leaves it there then walks off.
A witness notices the fight and stops to talk with father. Witness takes baby into her own house. This witness has a warrant for her own arrest(!) and caller her sister to come watch baby and call the police.
Witness's sister comes to witnesses house and calls the police. Presumably witness takes off before they can arrive so she doesn't get arrested.
Mother, who watched all this calls her stepfather. Stepfather comes and picks up the father.
Somehow the police finally contact a god mother (god has nothing to do with these savages btw-- I digress) who then leads them to the father and mother.
Oh and best of all, they found cocaine in the infant's system!!
