My coworkers love this series. They talk about it around 'the watercooler'. I get the breakdown because of this and seeing ShitLib Kevin Costner sitting in pickup truck memes around the cyber-net.
I don't need to watch TV to understand the culture. Up through my teen years I had already consumed 10,000 hrs of it. I understand the structure and tropes. I have not consumed TV serials in a long while. but I do understand their cultural context.
