In cats, antidepressants are usually prescribed for issues other than depression. Fluoxetine seems to be used to treat aggression and compulsive disorders.

I've had to give a cat "antidepressants" before, because she stopped eating. I don't remember the name, but it also worked as an appetite stimulant.
