He's not entirely wrong, Ciri is very important in the books/games and Geralt is retired at the end of Witcher 3, though saying Ciri is the MC instead of Geralt is fucking retarded since literally all the books are written from Geralt's perspective. The issue is more that:
1. Ciri isn't a Witcher, so her being the protagonist of the new game would have made no sense. So what did they do? They made up some lore breaking bullshit to turn her into a Witcher in the trailer, even though it's explicitly stated in the books that women and adults can't survive the Trial of Grasses which turns kids into Witchers.
2. Ciri's face is just completely off, looks nothing like how she did in Witcher 3. Her new voice is also bad.
3. Ciri's story was literally finished in the last game. There is no reason at all to have her be the protagonist other than for shameless pandering.
