South Korea is the key to understanding birth rate collapse.
They're not poor, the government has all sorts of financial incentives for having kids, and yet they still have the birth rate of zoo pandas.
The Koreans aren't being flooded with shitskins, they've only started importing foreigners. They're not having national wealth transferred to their racial enemies. They aren't in a soul-crushing societal downward spiral (both their culture and economy are expanding their reach). Still, lowest birth rate in the world.
So wtf is going on then? In a word: feminism.
Feminism degrades the highest calling of a woman, motherhood, into something that *women who can't achieve other things* do. Mothers get no respect in Korea. It offers no social status, no prestige. College degrees and big corporate jobs give women access to social status they can't find elsewhere.
But feminism is just a natural byproduct of the real memetic disease, **Individualism**. Reducing prestige and merit to a personal attribute undermines *ALL* the ways we build collectives, including families. It creates a non-stop social conflict over personal ranking within a group... including families. Including childless marriages.
Under individualism, ANY group engages in hierarchical conflicts due to an unclear pecking order and the constant need to "prove oneself as an individual" - such as the smart guy saying things to show off that he's smart, instead of using his smarts to advance the collective. We'd be better off with an explicit pecking order, then we'd waste less time on proving ourselves.
When no one achieves merit besides the individual, collective cooperation is a losing game. If your children don't reflect on you, why invest in them? If your wife can't share your prestige, why should she help you produce it?
This sickness grew slowly over 500 years, so it's understandable that the source is hard to pinpoint. It's the Renaissance values.
The only way to reverse the damage caused by feminism is basically forbid women from working, education and basically any other outlet that ISN'T manufacture (because office work doesn't really contribute to the well-being of society anyhow)
