this. all of the shit the guy listed does nothing to fix the problem. the problem is that the feminist movement in japan put in strict quotas and legal rights for women that make them a superclass of citizens, and husbands are now literal slaves. who the fuck wants to sign up for that? polling nowadays shows 70%+ of japanese men are MGTOW / herbivore / grass-eater, whatever you want to call it. they're not gay, but the economics of japanese relationships have become so inequitable for men that they're better off opting out of society.

this is compounded by how late-stage they are. japan has so many old people dying with no heirs that the government is literally giving away homes and apartments because they're otherwise going abandoned. so these guys don't even need to work to afford housing because unless you want to live in a posh trendy part of town, housing is already cheap or even free.
