Where in the Bible does it say that Mary is sinless? Augustine and Aquinas staunchly disagree with this view. I suggest you do as the Bereans did - thoroughly read what the Word of God says rather than blindly following the church. Yes, tradition and polity are *extremely important*. However, if I don’t see the dogma in the text, I’m not going to believe it.

I’m fine with a pope, but honestly he shouldn’t have the type of authority that he has now. Papal infallibility? Dumb. He’s the Bishop of Rome, a first among equals. People tend to treat him like a god who has authority over the whole church and what they should believe. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s what I see, especially from the current pope. Maybe you’re a sedevacantist and you don’t see him as valid. No idea how to even tell who’s valid and who isn’t. It seems arbitrary.

I’m also fine with asking the saints to intercede for me (because it’s plain in scripture that they do), but I’m not going to pray to Mary to pray to Jesus. That’s ridiculous. No one comes to the Father and except through Christ. He’s our one and *only* mediator. I don’t need Mary interceding for me to communicate with Christ.

Honestly, I have nothing against Roman Catholics. I’m a high church Anglican, so there’s a bit of crossover there (hoping the word Anglican doesn’t make you cringe) If the Catholic Church didn’t have certain dogmas, I’d certainly make the switch. But it seems they’re set in their ways with their mortal and venial sins and penance and indulgences and purgatory and such… I just can’t get behind any of that.
