Hey all. Me and my pastor have been having a 1 on 1 sit down each week just to chit chat about the Bible. This upcoming week were finally breaking into the jews. Obviously like most here, I knowbthey're awful in the world, but I'm looking for more biblical resources to site from. I have many noted already but wondering if yall have more for me. Also he is very based so far, so do not worry about coming on too strong.

> Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. **~ Galatians 3:16**

>And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. **~ Galatians 3:29**

>Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. **~ 1 John 2:23**

>Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. **~ Matthew 21:43**

>There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. **~ Luke 13:28**

That’s really all you should need. It’s the core of Christianity. Anyone who rejects the above isn’t Christian and needs to be reported to the church board.

>O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold your house is left unto you desolate. **~ Matthew 23:37-8**

>Then answered all the people (jews) and said, “His blood be on us and on our children!” **~ Matthew 27:25**

>But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you to councils, and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten. **~ Mark 13:9**

>Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. **~ John 8:31-47**

>Stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost as your fathers did, so you do. Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which showed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers. **~ Acts 7:51-53**

>It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing you put it from you and judge yourself unworthy of everlasting life, we turn to the Gentiles. **~ Acts 13:45-51**

>Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. **~ Romans 9:4-8**

>But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. **~ Galatians 2:3-5**

>For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision, whose mourns must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake… wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith: not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. **~ Titus 1:10-14**

>The Jews, who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us: and they please not God and are contrary to all men: forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost. **~ 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16**

>Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. **~ Revelation 3:9**

They killed Jesus and reject him to this day. What more is there to say?

There is no dual covenant. Christians have inherited the promise of Abraham. We are Israel. The true sons of Jacob have mixed themselves out of existence. Assuming there was a blood covenant, where is it? Who is a direct inheritor of Jacob today?

Jews are of Esau, not Jacob.

I think Christ Himself laid it out pretty well when He said "whoever rejects me rejects the Father". The modern jews do not worship God because they reject Christ outright.

1. Discuss Paul's rejection of the judaizing heresy. Establish that your pastor recognizes that *the Bible directly* describes people who insist on reinstating jewish rules as in the wrong.

2. Look at the history of Roman-occupied Palestine in the late 1st and early 2nd century. Butter it up however you like, but somehow arrive at the fact that the state of Israel was obliterated and rabbinical judaism started well *after* Christ. Wouldn't hurt to sprinkle in Michael Heiser's observation that a dual personhood of God was jewish tradition until the end of the first century, when it was declared heresy by the rabbis because it gave to much credence to Christians.

If Jews understood the old testament the way Christians do, and recognized Jesus as the messiah, would there be any Jews left? No, "there is no longer any distinction between Jew and gentile." u/User_99 also makes a relevant point.

A lot of people are obsessed with the current nation-state of Israel because of bad interpretations of prophecy. Specifically, rebuilding the temple seems to be an important event that is expected to yet occur, accompanied by returning the ark of the covenant to the holy place, and resuming animal sacrifices. This all (should) contradicts a solid understanding of the New Testament.
If Jews accepted Jesus as the messiah, would there be any push to rebuilt the temple? It would deny that the gospel is freely accessible to all.
Or, to put the ark of the covenant in the most holy place? That is, deny the Holy Spirit provides access to God for all who accept.
Or, resume animal sacrifices? Denying that Jesus paid the once and final penalty for our sin.
Gary DeMar discusses misinterpretations of prophecy quite well. This podcast https://garydemar.libsyn.com/biblical-context-under-the-microscope addresses some of the points I made here.

Try to find a verse in the OT where God says "Those jews are doing exactly what I commanded so I will bless them!"

I mean cursing is immodest, but as long as you arent using God or Christ's name in vain and arent actually trying to lay a curse on anyone its a venial sin.

Thats technically a form of blasphemy, I would try to remove it from your vocabulary even if it is a habit. Think of it as though you gave your phone number to someone and they called you every time they got annoyed with someone else, then immediately hung up. Of course, they wouldnt *mean* to offend you, but it would still annoy you. Much the same with using God's title and Christ's name as an expletive.
