My husband is circumcised, I convinced him while I was pregnant with our first child to leave our son whole (he wasn't sure about it but I had read up on it while learning about all the pregnancy things). Both our boys are uncut, and we're breaking the cycle regarding lots of parenting choices.

I don't want nor expect thanks from my son for keeping him whole. My daughters won't thank me for not mutilating their genitals, I don't need my son to either. It's such an easy, bare minimum parenting choice.

The real reason Circumcision was promoted in the US wasnt hygeine, it was because some deranged Puritan heretic thought that a sex drive was inherently evil and that circumcision would remove it.

Its surprising that my kike-loving father in law didn't circumcise his sons, but I thank him for it. I did have someone say I wasn't a good gentile for keeping my son uncut. Definitely the best parenting compliment I have heard in a while.
