The answer you'll typically get is something about better load balancing than carrying it in front of you, but we all know the real reason as others have already stated ITT.
I did a lot of mundane work and using a wheelbarrow just makes things so much lighter.
A 50 kg bag becomes like 25.
As for carrying, it's much easier when a basket is used by 2 people.. as I said.
So yeah I think that they are just dumb and don't care about their spine.
