A man Woodrow Wilson, the man who kept us out of war, then brought us into war, deeply admired was Edward Mandell House, a ostensible socialist who wrote a book called "Philip Dru: Administrator: A Story of Tomorrow, 1920-1935", which describes how House would reorganize the resources of the United States to align with his political philosophy, as performed by his character Philip Dru.

There is nothing about people, about culture, or morality, or love of one's people and duty them. There is nothing at all about leadership. It's only about nationalizing resources and equalizing the masses, leaving a thin top layer of administrators to govern the resources. You can read a synopsis here.
