If you are willing to give up the comforts that the system grants you in exchange for higher ideals, you are not a lemming.

For instance, I gave up programming and I run cattle and sheep on land that I own. I have taken upon myself the responsibility of providing food, clothing, shelter, and security, rather than rely on the state or corporations to do it for me.

This means I am living a much lower standard of living, plus I need to actually labor with my own hands. But it provides me tremendous freedom that I didn't previously have.

If you were to tell me that the federal government collapsed, I would not mind one bit.

I'll play the devil's advocate here for a moment and mention that you own land only at the behest to the system. If you stop paying the system for the "rights" to use your land, a bunch of dudes with guns will show up to take it from you.

More power to you. I believe you're fighting the good fight, but it's not as simple as you're making it out to be.

While not fully intentional on my part I gave up my wargaming hobby on ideals, so counts for something at least lol

I mean ... there's something to be said for the moron lifestyle but I'm not going to commit heresy to do so.
