Pig meat in and of itself is not the problem . Pork from pigs that were looked after well and fed with good feed is not the problem. Its the pork that comes from pigs that were not looked after well and were fed garbage that is the problem. In the old days they were probably fed a lot of garbage . But if you raise your own pigs and monitor what they eat and how they live there's no problem with eating their meat.
