It is okay to want good things for your people, and to want bad things for enemy people. Abortion is bad on a societal and on a personal level. So I want to ban it for my people and allow it for enemies.
There's no Jewish trap in recognizing that. Abortion is murder, I want to murder my enemies and I'm happy if they do it themselves.
Wanting bad things for infants is evil period though. Killing those who have committed a capital offense is justice, killing infants, unless God directly commands you to, is always evil.
