Its exactly this. Few people seem to understand that the best results only come from the longest and hardest Struggles, and they seek to avoid Struggle at all costs.

Avoiding it when you are not ready can be cowardice,but lifespan of cowards can be... impressive.

Struggles are usually won by prepared people. Or by people having hope because they survived some similar adversities once.
