in the 2010s, it started hitting israeli media that muslims in the israeli territory were outbreeding jews something like 5:1. although orthodox jewish israelis have 12 kids, there are far too many secular jews who are averaging less than 1. so israel started pushing what they call basic law... aka apartheid. in israel, as of 2018, israel passed a law such that only jews have the right to self determination. https://www.loc.gov/item/global-legal-monitor/2021-07-27/israel-supreme-court-affirms-constitutionality-of-basic-law-israel-nation-state-of-the-jewish-people/
they went scorched earth on their judicial system to remove any judge who would vote against it. ultimately, the supreme court of israel held in 2021 that indeed, only jews have the right to self determination in israel, officially making it an ethnonationalist country with apartheid. that started heavy deportations, which first went from non-nationals, to people whose families were living in gaza and the west bank before israel was even formed in the 1940s. JIDF even went as far as black bagging people in gaza in september of 2023, and that's why hamas attacked in october 2023. now i'm not defending hamas... i want them both to lose. but acting like israel is innocent here is absurd, and anyone ragging on nationalism or accusing others of "antisemitism" needs to look at israel and jews because they've formed a violent ethnonationalist state armed with nukes.
