Most of those whites are probably legally maori. There were so few of them left from their constant wars that they instituted what amounts to a one drop rule. If you have a maori ancestor you are maori. The guy who proposed the bill, David Seymour is seen sitting in the thumbnail. He is maori as far as anyone in New Zealand is concerned because his mother had a full blooded maori ancestor back in the 1800s. Using New Zelands legal rules Elizabeth Warren would be considered just as much an Indian as pocahontas.
