- most eruvim in US cities use utility poles as the vertical element.
- an exact google maps overlay for most cities is available
- find one of the utility poles on the route
- using chalk, draw a horizontal line around the circumference of the utility pole
- you have now broken the eruv with a crucifix.
Maybe that's just good for private chuckles only. Maybe write "INRI" above the line if you want a greater chance of pissing off a rabbi.
