Hitler and tEh NaUgHtZiEeZ are portrayed in such a way in media that it's hard to take them seriously, it's almost comically evil. Yeah, sure, everybody was living happy, content lives and then one day for no reason at all, they lost their minds and became Nazis.
Now there's a solid plot point for my next Hollywood move produced by Mr. Steinberg. /s
And even then, Germany weren't 'the bad guys' until England declared war on them. Before then they were the bee's knees. Time magazine named Hitler the Man of the Year, back when that might have actually meant something.
