It's just strange because back in the 1980's you had to wait your turn to play an arcade game and watching other people play sucked compared to getting the chance to play yourself.
I do think that there may be a negative psychosis related to this modern trend of watching other people's reaction videos instead of just having your own experiences and reactions. It teaches you to LEARN how to react to something rather than having genuine natural real reactions of your own.
Have you noticed how people PRETEND to be shocked? I see it all the time. The pretend shock. A trained reaction like a dog does for a treat.
People LEARNED to react a certain way.
I remember crowds around machines in the arcade watching other kids play, especially if they were good. I have never played [Dragon's Lair](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfqylgfU0Tc) but watched it.
The [Star Wars X-Wing Sit Down Arcade Machine](https://arcadedirect.co.uk/star-wars-x-wing-sit-down-arcade-machine/) even had a viewing panel so you watch someone play.
