There should be care in protecting each European architectural styles and cohesion in a town or city, as it greatly impacts the quality of life of people.

Few things equal the beauty of a traditional European small town center architecture with the Church, or a traditional city with its cathedral and churches.

This needs to be protected, not ''modernized'' into an abomination without soul.

New towns and cities should take inspiration from traditional European architecture too.

There is a reason tourists come from all over the world to visit Old Québec city : it wasen't ''modernized'', although in the past people did argue the fortification should be demolished. Imagine that.

Dosen't mean that transport has to suck. But there is no reason the area of the town center cannot be pedestrian with parking lots in the periphery.
