The civic nationalism route is for chicken shits who are too afraid to be called mean words by people that hate them because of their ethnicity and it doesn't matter how much they cower, they will still be hated because at the end of the day, they are Europeans who descended from the sons of Japheth and will always be hated by the sons of Shem and Ham.
You may think it's obvious that if a smart man and a smart woman have a child the son will also be smart, but that was not obvious at all before Weismann.
Yes niggers were uncivilized but this was thought to have been due to the environment, or their lack of religion, or other factors. Nobody understood that humans are genetically different. They thought that converting niggers to Christianity niggers would be civilized (which the 99% of Christians still believe to this day!).
I can blame Christianity for this of course, but even the ancient Greeks had no fucking idea. They had a bunch of weird theories about how a human being gets his character, but they didn't understand genetic inheritance.
