2024 era Libertarians don't have much to do with the good doctor. I don't know how effective Ron Paul was, but I would take him over the average pothead lolbert any day.

Yeah, after the left’s boy Barnie Sandlers got railroaded by the democrats in the 2016 primary, I saw a huge influx of leftists who claimed to be libertarian hanging around libertarian forums, it was off putting to even interact with lolberts at that point. Libertarians from 2008 on until 2016 were nothing like they are now, they were a hell of a lot more right wing, just like Ron Paul. Ron Paul was/is a reasonable man, he understands there are some faults in the libertarian ideology, which is why he was always part of the Republican Party, but he also understood the Republican Party had a lot of faults, which is why he sided with libertarian ideology on a lot of issues.
