my father can walk because of cowboy boots according to the doctor and chiropractor. he rolled a tractor when he was 16 and damaged a leg so they said he would never walk and when he did after one doctor did expirimental surgery they said he would eventually need a wheelchair. The raised heels made his back stronger and straighter. they also do that for your calves and for me they reduce my knee pain.
So anecdotally I don't see where you got your information. Pointed toes and too tight shoes though are trash, another reason I prefer a boot, they are sized length and width so you can get boots as wide as your foot
Never heard of them. I will have to check em out. The only reason I ever heard of topo was because I went into a fleet feet and they had some and I thought they looked like clown shoes so I HAD to try them on for the lulz but then they were actually comfortable and felt correct on my feet. Not as good as asics *for my specific feet* but my next pair of shoes will probably be them to give them a shot. Maybe. I discovered asics were perfect for me and also made by based japaneses. So I may just give asics my consoooomoney forever.
I have a narrow and LONG foot. They don't make big ass shoes with a narrow beam only wide shoes, but asics is a Japanese company so they don't think in fat. If you have a normal but large foot they are good.
definitely the best. I used to wear the 5 finger toe shoes but lots of people are retarded about htem especially employers. They did start making similar ones without the toe seperations that made the originals so unique
I figured there’d be a lot of pain in the ass whiners. There’s probably also a break in period. Also, all people won’t want their shoes to fit the same way.
I have a calloused big toe from shoes being to narrow, so I like the wide option. I realize that the wide option is probably for those with paws instead of feet.
They only sell in a wide variety, after solely wearing these for a few months, standardized wide shoes are hard to fit into, your feet normalize to them
My kids still have perfect little feet like the picture on the left. They barely ever wear shoes. It sickens me to think some day their little pinkie toes will probably get deformed like mine are because they have to wear shoes every day.
The pointed shoe is probably a holdover from having to insert the foot into horse stirrups. No one rides horses anymore, so the pointed shoe serves no purpose. But it's still with us, just like the QWERTY layout on keyboards that was invented to make it more difficult to get the keys on a mechanical typewriter entangled.
