The small, round hat is called a Zucchetto, and it actually predates the kippah/yarmulke that Jews wear. If anything, the Jews are trying to copy the Catholics. That's not how things work, unfortunately. Christ established a Church (Matthew 16: 18). It was very prideful for the reformers to think they could establish their own churches and it would be very prideful for us as well. We would get that kind of pridefulness rewarded with eternal hellfire, so it's just not worth it.
Most assassinations have been by enemies of the Church of good Popes, but theres nothing stopping God from simply giving us another Pope if this one continues to allow the Deposit of Faith to be blatantly ignored.

But I heard a Christian's testimony recently and he said that God came to him and saved him when he wasn't even looking for God and he didn't even want to be saved. I thought that was interesting.
