Yeah, but I don't doubt this: considering how they acted in Joseon, China, SEA, in Warring States Japan against other Japanese, etc. Historically Nips have been monsters to anyone they had an advantage over, and now they want to deny all of it and pretend like they were angels, which they weren't. Be a lot cooler if they'd at least own up to some of it, but they never do.
Nanking massacre is verfiably fake. Actually think about it. In my history class we were taught that Japanese army officers would line HUNDREDS of POW chinkmen up and see who could cut off 100 china heads the fastest with nothing but their katanas and a Naruto run.
Only sounds fake to you because you are unfamiliar with Asian brutality. Chinks have, in the past, chained together hundreds of conquered villagers/soldiers and forced them to dig giant pits. When the pit was deep enough they would push in the ones at the end and they would in turn drag in all the rest of them. Then they'd bury them alive. Such is life in Bugland.
I'm saying bugmen (Chinks, Nips, Koreans, whatever) were all like this. That one Nip Hiroo Onoda was treated like a hero when he returned, which is fine. But then don't pretend like he didn't savage that island for years and years like a common bandit either. At least own up to it.
