Yup, and guarantee you that job she gave up had amazing maternity leave, and the building likely even had child care if she chose to take advantage of it given it was a large firm. I’d rather her be at home too, but just stating the obvious and reality of what most women would have chosen and it would have been the best of a bad situation.
