Since I was a kid, I always knew that it's better to make love with my wife at home, than being killed mindlessly, or becoming an invalid, while covered in dirty mud.

When hippies started saying make love, not war, it was obvious for me.

I know that people used to join the army because they were willing to protect their country. But right now it's not a secret that the army is not protecting citizens, but is used as a tool for depopulation.

So why married men choose to join the army instead of enjoying life?

The army nearly doubles your pay if you are married. So young dumb recruits rush into marriages.

Most men can't even get a woman in the first place. probably easier when she knows she'll get to whore around, have free housing, gets to waste the money of a husband she doesn't ever have to see and if she's lucky he'll end up getting killed anyway which will allow her to get sympathy for a man she hated dying.

Sounds evil. Women who are that conniving are scary even to me.

pretty goyish to die over a meager salary increase

esp knowing how likely it is to be cheated while on duty

People like to forget that it's often about a constellation of factors, not just singular reasons.

Why does X do Y? Because:

Reason 1: 0.6

Reason 2: 0.4

Reason 3: 0.2

Reason 4: 0.05

Sounds quite algorithmic, right? Add to that the fact that another factor can be something like daily variance, a mood, a moment of reflection, or even "randomness" to make that choice, which may be an alternate to other options or the status quo.

So why do people go to the military? A sense of patriotism, doing the right thing, the concept of self-sacrifice for the country, honor, money, because their status quo sucks, and because it can provide options for the future (or at least the idea that it could).
