The whole idea of having someone *else* (Jesus, a chicken) have to die or be tortured to expiate *your* sins is a very repulsive jewish concept.

You're thinking in jew terms of Jesus acting as a "get out of jail free card".

Jesus is the kinsman redeemer hinted at in the Old Testament - He dies to fulfil the law, redeem unfaithful Israel, and bring them back to Him.

(Israel not to be misunderstood as "muh jews")

Would you be willing to die for the sake of your kin? It's pretty much the Whitest thing anyone could ever do.
