I've heard people claim that 60% of Jews owned slaves but I've also heard people claim this was made up. It sounds high to me but wouldn't shock me. Anyone have a source?

There are many, many books written on the topic. The top one is Faber that is recommended by (((scholars))).

Seymour Drescher mentions that Dutch Jews on Curacao might have accounted for the resale of at least 15,000 slaves.

Rabbi Lody van de Kamp's book "Jodensavanne" discusses Jewish-owned plantations in Suriname, indicating involvement in slavery through plantation ownership rather than directly as traders.

The average price of a slave was 250 guilders which is around $7500 nowadays.

I have a ton of books on the matter... but finding an accurate number is very difficult without accessing Amsterdams records as most of the slaver jews came from there according to most sources I can find (Between 1600-1800 AD)
