Why not just guillotine them, as the guillotine was the official german method of execution, anyway? (In fact, I believe that criminals actually were guillotined in the camps according to some of the documents on them someone posted a while back, which puts a bit of a dent in the Gas Chamber narrative.)

It doesn't really.

They were guillotined early on, pre death camp Era. This was to help keep them in line.

Mass executions "death camps" didn't ramp up until later in the war.
