Thing is, Great Man Theory is real. We’re psychologically attuned to *want* strong leadership. But strong leadership is illegal now because a pile of shoes exists in Poland. That doesn’t change humanity, however. As… well, I’ll let better men tell the story.
> “Monarchy can easily be debunked, but watch the faces, mark well the debunkers. These are the men whose taproot in Eden has been cut: whom no rumor of the polyphony, the dance, can reach–men to whom pebbles laid in a row are more beautiful than an arch. Yet even if they desire mere equality, they cannot reach it. Where men are forbidden to honor a king, they honor millionaires, athletes, or film stars instead. For spiritual nature, like bodily nature, will be served; deny it food and it will gobble poison.” **~ C. S. Lewis**; Equality, *The Spectator*, v. CLXXI; August 27, 1943
> “There seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance. They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously–after all, if an athlete is paid a million or more a year, he knows he is important, so his opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he proves himself to be ignorant and subliterate every time he opens his mouth.” **~ Robert A. Heinlein**; *To Sail Beyond the Sunset*; 1987
Jews stole our great men and starve us with cheap imitations.
