Honestly, the fact that the germans did not seek retribution in 1870 for the suffering that the neo jacobin Napoleons caused virtually all of Europe is actually impressive. It would have been warranted and still they didn't do it.

But when France was handed Germany in 1918, Germany was raped and plundered by France for crimes it did not even commit
