I found this news so insane. Apparently in US it is common practice for a news publication to endorse candidates, when i expected this to be illegal in the first place.
Notice that the mass media are the only group for whom this is normalised. If, say, a bank did this instead, many people would insist that they should keep out of politics, so why should mass media outlets be received any differently?
This isn't just normal in the US. The British and Australian mass media outlets are two others of which I am aware who actively do this.
