They're turkic. Turkic people already were already a mixture between whites and asians, *before* they even came to central asia. Both the ancient Chinese *and* the romans were equally pretty damned confused about the racial identity of the huns (who were probably turkic by all means). They're probably the result of ancient Mongolians and ancient indo Europeans mixing. Mongolians themselves can have red or blonde hair or blue eyes on occasion.
