A symptom of a society that rather adopt to (((new problems))), than trying to prevent the root cause of the problem. Just like the US and the UK.
You're not pulling a gun to start blasting when you're about to get stabbed at such close distance, the risks are just too high that you shoot someone else. Some of these rooms only have drywall into the next room, a bullet could go right through the wall. Maybe a towel isn't such a bad idea.

If the doctor grabbed a real improvised weapon and injured the attacker, what are the odds they would be the one arrested? You have to use the towel because it is harmless. Best case scenario, you don't hurt the diversity. Worst case, at least when you die you aren't racist.
