You've seen the famous statue of Perseus holding up the head of Medusa, this is made by the same guy. Very few golden statues like this from the Renaissance still exist because most of them were melted down over the centuries, in order for the wealthy aristocrats and heads of state who owned them to pay off their debts to the you-know-whos.
