They have no rights, they're just regular private citizens, like a door to door salesman, but obviously if they weren't trying to be intimidating they'd get no sales.
Ironically you'll never see them in rural areas because of the high risk of them getting shot. And it's in the rural areas nobody pays the TV loicense.
