i recently took the advise of fellow conpro members and started frying my steak-fries in fat, i use lamb fat and boy the fries were SO FUCKING GOOD

like they turned out to be really soft and "buttery"

i'm not kidding when i say frying your fries in animal fat is like a whole different experience than frying than in vegetable oil

It depends on the dish. Different healthy fats will obviously impart different flavors, whereas most seed oils have had all flavor artificially removed from them (since most are rancid, and chemicals are added to make the rancid smell and taste go away). Still, it's amazing how much a healthy fat, salt, and pepper will go to flavoring a food, tasting far better than what you'd think, just going by fast food, or "the science".
