Tbh my boomer parents had super shit parents. Divorce, cheating, alcoholism, and generally selfish degenerate behavior.

I can't blame them much because they were surrounded by degenerates and his mom was too busy being a drunk whore who wanted to be a movie star to sacrifice and be a good parent. My father in law was similar as his mom was a serial divorcee and his dad killed himself leaving my FiL to be raised by no man.

my point was your single example was not the norm at all. Boomers normalized and encouraged it, divorce rates skyrocketed under boomers, not the previous generation
