I don't even see how that's debatable when there are corporate mandates to hire women and minorities. It took months to backfill some of my coworker's positions because even though they knew exactly who was best for the job, they couldn't proceed with the hiring process until DEI candidates were interviewed.
They're not very good at gaslighting and if these responses are in any way representative of the Democratic party they have the answer to their own question.
